FAQ's

What kind of bikes do you have?

We use the following motorcycles for our tours:

  • Modified Honda CRF 230
  • KTM 350 EXC

How many people do you take at one time?

Six is the best size group; however, we will take more or less.

I am by myself, do you provide one on one trips? Can I join a group of other riders?

We do provide one on one trips. We also keep a "waiting list" on file to put riders together to form a group if they wish. This is more economical for many riders.

I'm an "A" rider and so are the two guys that will ride with me. What about the other people on the ride? I don't want to wait for a squid all day!

Elite takes more than one guide any time we have over four riders OR have different levels of riding ability on a trip. Elite will split the group according to riding levels, so that everyone gets the ride that suits them.

Can I bring my own bike?

Yes. Please note, bikes are inspected for trial readiness prior to ride and you are responsible for any repairs deemed necessary. You are also responsible for your own fuel and OHV stickers if you bring your own bike.

Do you give lessons?

Yes. Elite has Utah state certified motorcycle training instructors on its staff. We can teach beginners to experts.

Do I need a motorcycle certified driver's license?

No. We operate on dirt roads and trails that do not require a license.

What is the best time to ride in the Moab area?

From March through the last week of November. It all depends on where you want to ride.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. We are insured.

Where do you hold permits?

We have special use permits with the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, State Trust Lands, State Sovereign Lands, and with private landowners in both Utah and Colorado.
