Dale Parriott Dale Parriott started his dirt riding at age 7 riding a 1949 125cc James. He followed his father on desert courses such as "The Moose Run" and the famous "Big Bear Run". In 1959, Dale was one of the original Go Kart Racers in the Los Angeles area, racing at different parking lots until the first real Go Kart tracks were built at Azusa and Cornell Corners in Agora, CA. In his senior year of high school, Dale built his first hot rod, a 1941 Studebaker Champion. But unlike most kids of the day who only built drag race cars, Dale built-up the suspension system along with a V/8 engine and went road racing with the Saturday night outlaws of Mulholland Dr. and the Angeles National Forest. This got a little hairy, so in October of 1963, a friend convinced Dale to buy a real race car and get legal. Dale took his car (a 1951 Hudson Hornet) and went to the 100 lap season final at Saugus Speedway, qualifying third fastest out of over 70 entries. He started the race from the rear of 33 starters and lapped and lapped the whole field of cars during the race! That race was the start of a lifetime of race cars and motorcycles.

Dale Parriott Dale and Glee Parriott have three sons and six grandchildren. They moved from Los Angeles to Moab in 1977 where there was fresh air and a wonderful climate to raise their children. While the family was growing up, Dale and his family played with and raced motorcycles in the Utah desert, and owned and ran a manufacturing plant in Moab. This brings us to date. We sold the business, the kids are raised, so now its time to play in the desert and on the mountain!

Terry Flynn In 1964, I competed in my first motorcycle race. I first raced a Honda Super 90 and over the years, I have competed on many different brands including Maicos, Bultacos, Greeves and Yamahas. The last 15 years, my race bike of choice has been the Honda XR's. Growing up and racing in Indiana, the most popular event was Enduros. Although I raced mostly Enduros, I also raced Moto Cross, Hare Scrambles, TT Scrambles, Gran Prix and even participated in a trials once. I was fortunate enough to be the Enduro Class Champion in District 15 (Indiana) ten times and Grand Champion twice.

In 1998, I decided to try the Grand National Cross Country racing events. I raced the circuit for four years in the Super Senior Expert Class and garnered fourth place class finishes. I was never class champion but I was very pleased to race over forty events and never have a DNF.

In 2002, it was time to retire from the school teaching business and move west to be a trail guide in the desert. I now guide for Elite Motorcycle Tours and race occasional National WORCS, and Hare and Hound races. Hope to see you on the trail someday!
